God Is Just
Sunday Jun 02, 2019
Sunday Jun 02, 2019
But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it—22 the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. 26 It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

The Triumph of God's Love
Sunday Jun 09, 2019
Sunday Jun 09, 2019
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? 33 Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written,
“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We Do Not Lose Heart

Fathers need to remember Paul’s exhortation: “Do not lose heart.” Do not grow weary in doing well. Don’t give up. Press on. Fight the fight of faith. And we see this especially in 2 Cor 4:1-2.
In this passage, Paul tells us followers of Jesus do not lose heart. But how can they not lose heart even as they face incredible hardship as Christians? Paul tells us he does not lose heart because he, 1) Renounces the veneer of apparent piety (v. 2) and 2) Embraces God’s Word as truth to live by (v. 2). This is also why fathers should not lose heart as well, as they lead their children and follow Jesus.

Heaven: A New Beginning
Sunday Jun 23, 2019
Sunday Jun 23, 2019
This is the first message in a series on Heaven. Most people, even those who know much about the Bible, probably have a vague understanding about heaven. You would think we should know so much more. Because truly, heaven is a matter of life and death. But sadly, most of our understanding about heaven is due to pop culture than it is based on the Bible.
So why this series? First, it is to clear such serious misunderstandings about Heaven. Second, it is to examine what the Bible says and why the Bible’s account is INFINITELY more encouraging and hopeful. Third, it is to help us during times of grieving as we mourn the loss of loved ones. And finally, it empowers us to trust God today. This message lays some groundwork for Heaven and explores 1) Heaven: In the Beginning from Gen 1-2, and 2) Heaven: A New Beginning from Rev 22:1-5

Life After Death

Sunday Jun 30, 2019
We have all heard the stories of people who have died for a minute or two and have come back to life. There are lights. Maybe a tunnel. Maybe some being, person there. Are they true? We don’t know. We know there are enough people who have made up stories to definitely question the truthfulness of such stories. But it definitely leaves us wondering, what does happen right after we die? This message looks at a few Errant Views of Life After Death, Biblical Views of Life After Death, and the Implications of Biblical Views of Life After Death.
